AminoCloud Selected for VIPC Launch Grant
AminoCloud has been selected as a VIPC Launch Grant recipient through Cycle 5 of the Commonwealth Commercialization Fund, recognizing the company as one of Virginia's most promising early-stage technology startups.

AminoCloud is proud to announce it has been selected as a recipient of the Virginia Innovation Partnership Corporation (VIPC) Launch Grant through Cycle 5 of the Commonwealth Commercialization Fund. The grant recognizes AminoCloud as one of Virginia's most promising early-stage technology companies and provides non-dilutive capital to accelerate our path to commercialization.

The selection comes at a pivotal moment for AminoCloud. Our first production client, a CAP-accredited molecular diagnostics laboratory based in the Mid-Atlantic, has been live on the Stratus operational suite since September 2025, delivering measurable improvements in purchasing workflow efficiency and R&D visibility. With Meridian, our cloud-native Laboratory Information System, in active release and a growing pipeline of labs across Virginia, Florida, New Jersey, and Ohio, this grant will help us accelerate client acquisition and advance our mission of consolidating the fragmented software landscape that independent clinical laboratories navigate today.

AminoCloud is a Richmond, Virginia-based software company building the operating system for independent clinical diagnostic laboratories. Our Laboratory Resource System (LRS) unifies a lab's full operational stack — from electronic lab notebooks and inventory management to specimen accessioning, result reporting, and genomics compute — on a single cloud-native platform that is 21 CFR Part 11 compliant. Where legacy vendors built siloed point solutions on decades-old architecture, AminoCloud was built from the ground up for integration at the data layer, giving laboratories a single system of record and a genuine path to AI-powered operations.

The Virginia Innovation Partnership Corporation is the Commonwealth's lead innovation and entrepreneurship agency, connecting startups to capital, resources, and networks that accelerate commercialization. The VIPC Launch Grant, powered by the Commonwealth Commercialization Fund, awards competitive grants to high-potential early-stage companies committed to growing in Virginia. With only 20 grants awarded per year across a rigorous multi-round selection process, selection reflects both the strength of AminoCloud's technology and the team's commitment to building in the Commonwealth.
